The Centre for Pharmacy Postgraduate Education (CPPE) has updated its e-learning programme "Documenting in patient clinical records" to provide a shorter, more accessible learning experience.
The programme is designed to help pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and trainee pharmacists develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in this area.
It also explores why documentation matters and the structure of patient clinical records.
The programme help learners develop their skills to document patient clinical records clearly and accurately.
For pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, the ability to write clear, concise and accurate patient notes, supporting continuity of care, is becoming increasingly important across all areas of practice.
This learning programme also provides the patient perspective through videos and reflective activities.
One contributor with lived experience shares how incomplete documentation affected their care.
Their story helps to demonstrate the impact documentation can have on the person and highlight its importance for continuity of care.
