Pharmaceutical wholesaler AAH Pharmaceuticals, has announced that John Clark will now lead the business as Managing Director, taking on sole responsibility for steering the company.
Clark, who had been Joint Managing Director since January, takes on the role with immediate effect.
Commenting on his appointment Clark said: “Having previously served as Joint Managing Director, I have been closely involved in shaping our strategy and working alongside our exceptional team.
“My focus will continue to be on delivering the high levels of service and value our pharmacy and manufacturer partners have come to expect.”
AAH said that the appointment “ensures continuity across the business, with no changes to the company's strategy, operations or commitment to customers”.
Clark added: “I’m excited to continue to enhance our customers’ experience. We remain proud to be a truly independent wholesaler.
“Our strategy is unchanged, we will continue to drive service innovation, operate with transparency, and stay ahead in an increasingly challenging pharmaceutical landscape.”
With an extensive career over multiple sectors, spanning over 25 years, Clark joined AAH as Operations Director in September 2022. He previously held roles in businesses including Evri, Hermes, Sainsbury’s, Argos and DHL, and a period as a general manager in the NHS supply chain.
AAH says it delivers over 10 million items per week to more than 14,000 pharmacies and other healthcare organisations, supporting community pharmacies, hospitals, and dispensing doctors with a range of services and solutions.
The company also includes Enterprise, the wholesaler for health and beauty products to over 4,000 pharmacies in the UK, and Trident Pharmaceuticals, a short line supplier to UK pharmacies.
