Piyoosh Chotai, co-owner of the pharmaceutical chain, Waremoss Limited, passed away on Saturday, Jan 18. He was 69.

Piyoosh is survived by his wife, Anna, and their two daughters – Sonal and Priya.

According to family friends, Piyoosh “passed away peacefully in the presence of his family and friends in Croydon hospital.”

Piyoosh, along with his brothers Bipin and Bharat, founded Waremoss in 1978.

He served served as the company’s finance director and helped the group grow into one of the country’s largest independent pharmacy chains.

Piyoosh oversaw the recent move of the company’s headquarters into brand new offices and warehouse.

Currently trading as Kamsons Pharmacy, the award winning chain operates over 70 pharmacies with nearly 1,000 employees.

Piyoosh’s bereaved brothers, Bipin and Bharat Chotai, commented: “The whole family is devastated by our tragic loss. The Chotai brothers all worked closely together to develop Waremoss and the Kamsons Pharmacy group.

“Piyoosh has been integral to our growth and our pharmacies are a lasting legacy to his work. We will miss him greatly. Not only did we grow up together but have worked closely together throughout our lives.”
