Teach & Treat Hubs are being organised for newly-qualified independent prescribers in Scotland to support their ongoing professional development.

These hubs are being run by a team of experienced independent prescriber pharmacists, and they are available at a variety of locations across Scotland.

Those who have completed the Community Pharmacy Independent Prescribing Training on the Community Pharmacy Scotland (CPS)/PSD Scotland (formerly NES) programme can choose their T&T hub, subject to availability.

These hubs expose independent prescriber attendees to a variety of presentations of acute common clinical conditions.

Under the close supervision of the Hub Lead Pharmacist, the attendees get hands-on experience of using their advanced clinical and consultation skills.

Those interested can contact their nearest or most convenient local health board hub (HB Hub) to organise a date to attend.

Depending on the Hub, sessions may be offered on specific days of the week or/times to fit in with the pharmacy workload.
