In a bid to facilitate countrywide Covid-19 vaccination drive, PureGym is making available all of its gym sites into community vaccination facilities at zero cost.

PureGym has shut all of its gyms and is expected to remain closed until March.

The gym chain has over 270 sites in the UK including 236 in England, 25 in Scotland, eight in Northern Ireland, and five in Wales.

All the 274 large sites across the UK have a space range between 10 – 20,000 square feet, with ample space and facilities for healthcare professionals and patients.

These body building facilities have necessary space for safe patient flow including queueing, post-vaccination waiting areas, safe entry, and exit points.

“The sites can be available within a matter of days, subject to an on-site review with the relevant party to understand requirements. And PureGym can support in the necessary amendments to space to ensure fit for purpose,” the gym chain has said.

“Sites available within 48 hours, subject to an on-site review with the relevant party to understand requirements,” it added.

PureGym will also provide access to over 3,000 first aid trained colleagues to support the operational set up of sites and ongoing management of the sites as paid staff or volunteers.
