Glasgow-headquartered digital healthcare platform Simple Online Healthcare has been shortlisted for two major honours at the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards 2026.
The company, founded in 2015 by community pharmacists Addy Mohammed and Karim Nassar, has been shortlisted for the Lloyds Inclusion Award and named a finalist for the Mid-Market Growth Business of the Year award.
The achievement places the firm among more than 200 finalists across 20 categories in the business awards programme headlined by Lloyds Bank with support from the UK Government and ITV as media partner.
Simple Online Healthcare provides regulated clinical assessment, prescribing, dispensing, and ongoing patient support, specialising in weight management, GLP-1 treatments, metabolic health, and men's and women's healthcare.
The Inclusion Award nomination recognises the company's commitment towards building an accessible healthcare model and inclusive workplace.
Its key initiatives include investing in research to reduce stigma around GLP-1 weight-management therapies, maintaining a 0% gender pay gap, and providing equity participation for all staff.
The Mid-Market Growth nomination follows previous accolades, including winning Fast Growth Business of the Year at the Scotland Business of the Year Awards 2026 and inclusion in the Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50.
Since 2022, Simple Online Healthcare has doubled its headcount from 69 to over 150 employees, supported more than one million patients, and expanded beyond the UK into Australia and Germany.
Co-Founder Addy Mohammed said: “Being named finalists in the Lloyds British Business Excellence Awards is a fantastic achievement for the whole team. These nominations recognise the business we've worked hard to build, where inclusion underpins not only how we support and develop our people, but also how we deliver accessible, patient-centred healthcare. We're incredibly proud to receive this recognition and excited about the opportunities ahead.”
Amanda Murphy, CEO, Lloyds Business and Commercial Banking, said: "Simple Online Healthcare is bringing new ideas, investing in its community and helping drive growth in the UK. They represent the very best of British enterprise and we're incredibly proud to back them."
The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 10 November 2026. As part of the awards tradition, winners will ring the opening bell at the London Stock Exchange and attend an official reception at the House of Commons.
