Digital health company MedPal AI plc has acquired Remedi Solutions' pharmacy facility in Runcorn, currently under administration, for £310,000, according to multiple media reports.
The facility entered administration in December 2024, and NHS-verified data shows that it dispensed one million prescription items in 2024.
Incorporated in 2012, Remedi was operating from leased premises in Runcorn, and provided specialist pharmaceutical services, including NHS prescription dispensing and delivery, principally to the care home sector.
MedPal AI already has a General Pharmaceutical Council-registered NHS dispensing hub at Swaffham in Norfolk, which it acquired in October.
The group dispensed over 40,000 items in March 2026 and is applying to Runcorn the same patient reactivation strategy used to scale Swaffham from zero following its acquisition.
