Law firm Brabners welcomes Thorrun Govind to the regulatory team
Thorrun Govind's new appointment signals support amidst crucial year for independent pharmacy sector

Thorrun Govind, a former chair of the English Pharmacy Board of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society, has joined Brabners' regulatory & professional conduct team.

With nearly a decade of experience as a GPhC-registered pharmacist, Govind will provide guidance on regulatory and professional conduct issues.

Govind's expertise extends to healthcare advisory and disputes involving NHS Trusts and social care organisations.

She has been recognised as the 'Young Pharmacist of the Year' by Pharmacy Business Magazine and is a frequent commentator on public health and healthcare law for major television networks.

Her appointment underscores Brabners' commitment to offering top-tier legal services to the healthcare industry.

Richard Hough, Head of Healthcare at Brabners, expressed confidence in Govind's abilities and highlighted the firm's dedication to supporting healthcare professionals.

"Thorrun's appointment underscores our commitment to offering top-tier legal services to the healthcare industry," says Richard Hough, Head of Healthcare at Brabners.

"Her knowledge as a practising pharmacist makes her a passionate advocate for her clients – something I’m in no doubt will be to the benefit of the wide array of professionals that our regulatory and healthcare teams represent."

Govind emphasised her eagerness to contribute to Brabners' mission of driving positive change in the healthcare sector, stating:

"The independent pharmacy sector faces a critical year as we await the terms of the government’s next contractual framework, M&A activity continues apace and individuals continue to defend their right to practise."

“Central to my decision to join Brabners was the opportunity to support clients in all these areas as part of a firm that’s committed to bringing about positive change."

"It’s been a pleasure to see the team in action already as we look to help clients manage both the expected and unexpected in healthcare,” she added.
