Community pharmacy teams now have access to a wide range of information to support the planning and delivery of seasonal vaccines for the autumn/winter 2026/27 season, Community Pharmacy England (CPE) has said.
Contractors can offer both Covid-19 and adult flu vaccinations through the new Advanced Seasonal Vaccination Services, or adult flu vaccination alone. This has replaced the previously commissioned Covid-19 vaccination National Enhanced Service and Adult Flu Vaccination Advanced Service.
Pharmacies who have also registered for the Childhood Flu Vaccination Service will be able to provide the service from 1 October. Registration is needed by 31 August to receive childhood flu vaccines in time for October.
Seasonal Vaccination Provider Programme Guide
The Seasonal Vaccination Provider Programme Guide for autumn/winter 2026/7 is published on the Futures platform, with operational information for the adult flu, Covid-19 and children’s flu programmes.
CPE recommends that this information is read in good time, and to watch out for updates as the season progresses.
The adult flu programme includes homeless adults from 1 October, as does the children’s flu programme for 16- and 17-year-olds.
Bookings open on 17 August
Contractors can now add appointments for all three programmes through the Manage Your Appointments (MYA) website.
Patients and parents, guardians and carers will be able to book appointments for adult flu, Covid-19 and children’s flu programme from 17 August, through the National Booking Service (NBS).
Record a Vaccine (RAVS)
Pharmacies are required to use the Record a Vaccine service (RAVS) from 1 September.
The platform is integrated with GP records and with NHSBSA payments, and pharmacy technology suppliers are working to integrate RAVS within their pharmacy systems.
Manage Your Service (MYS)
Contractors will need to use the NHSBSA’s Manage Your Service (MYS) portal to provide adult flu and Covid-19 vaccinations.
Some pharmacies may need to re-register with MYS, and the deadline to register to receive Covid vaccines ahead of 1 October has already passed.
The final deadline to register to provide any of the 2026/27 seasonal services this year is 30 November.
