Concessionary price for Tolterodine 1mg tablets re-determined

The Department of Health and Social Care (DH) has re-determined the September 2020 concessionary price for Tolterodine 1mg tablets (56) at £12.90.

All prescriptions for Tolterodine 1mg tablets submitted to NHS Business Services Authority (NHS BSA) for payment for the dispensing month of September will be reimbursed at this new price.

The final price concession update for September 2020 was published by DHSC on 1st October 2020.

“DHSC brought to our attention that an error was made in the final price granted for Tolterodine 1mg tablets. The original published price of £8.74 for a pack of 56 was incorrect and this has been updated to reflect the new re-determined concessionary price of £12.90 for September 2020 only,” the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) has said in an alert.

The PSNC  has said that it is working with the DHSC to agree concessionary prices for drugs reported to be unavailable at the prices listed in the October 2020 Drug Tariff.
