Knights group buys Cecil Jones pharmacies in Wales

Knights Pharmacy has bought a pharmacy chain based in South Wales, taking the number of pharmacies owned by the Redditch-based group just two shy of 100.

Established in 1955, Cecil Jones is an independent pharmacy business comprising four pharmacies across South Wales.

Anand Sodha, director at Knights Pharmacy, said: “Cecil Jones is another family-run group of pharmacies made up of teams that have patient care at their centre just like Knights. After getting to know the business and having met our new colleagues, it’s clear they will fit in well with the rest of the Knights family.”

Following the deal, Knights Pharmacy will now operates 98 community pharmacies across England and Wales.

Corporate lawyers at Irwin Mitchell in Birmingham have advised Knights Pharmacy on the acquisition of the Cecil Jones Pharmacy Group.
