Pharmacy owners need to take part in two national health campaigns and two local health campaigns (agreed by ICBs and LPCs at a local level) as part of the Community Pharmacy Contractual Framework (CPCF) 2026/27.
The first campaign, from 5 October to 25 October, will focus on the expectation that pharmacy staff are treated with respect so they can undertake their professional practice safely.
The campaign is in the wake of the findings of the Community Pharmacy England's (CPE) recent poll that indicated a rise in violence and abuse in community pharmacies.
Pharmacy owners can use assets developed by NHS England or CPE for the campaign.
Promoting Pharmacy First
The second campaign, from 1 February 2027 to 21 February 2027, will promote the Pharmacy First service to the public.
Pharmacy owners may use existing assets to promote Pharmacy First, and download digital materials from DHSC Campaign Resource Centre to promote Pharmacy First.
They can promote the campaign messages offline by displaying posters, leaflets or other promotional materials relating to the campaign topics on their premises.
They can update the pharmacy's website to include campaign information, post it on the pharmacy's social media channels, and include them in emails or SMS being sent to patients.
