The drug maker Intrapharm Laboratories Ltd has received a number of complaints that the product consistency is lumpy, the alert said.

The investigation has confirmed, through review of the retained samples, that the consistency of the complaint samples are similar. The retained samples for this batch has shown the same homogeneity issue.

Community pharmacies have been advised to stop supplying the batch immediately and quarantine all remaining stock and return it to their supplier using the supplier’s approved process.
