Oriel applications have been opened for the third year pharmacy students in England, Scotland, and Wales to start their training in 2022.

The application deadline is June 23, 2021. This year, Oriel includes places for trainees in hospital, community pharmacy and GP practice settings, Oriel said in an announcement.

All third-year MPharm students, MPharm graduates, Current Overseas Pharmacists Assessment Programme (OSPAP) students, and OSPAP graduates are eligible to apply for the training.

Bradford sandwich students can apply to Oriel via their own vacancy offering, which is separate from the national vacancy offering.

This year, applicants will be judged only on their performance in the situational judgement test (SJT) and numeracy assessment and there will be no multiple mini interviews.

The performance of the candidates will be based solely on these assessments. The candidates will be invited to a Pearson VUE Centre to sit the SJT/numeracy assessments online.

The window to book their place will be open from August 4 to 18, 2021.

Oriel is the UK-wide portal for recruitment to foundation year training and applicants use Oriel for all stages of the recruitment process.

Oriel is not compulsory and many applying for community placements still chose to apply externally.
