Pharmacist Support and Teva UK renew partnership to expand charitable support

Teva UK will continue to be a headline sponsor of Pharmacist Support’s annual Pharmacist ACTNow campaign

Pharmacist Support and Teva UK have renewed their partnership, committing to expand charitable support across the pharmacy profession.

The collaboration began in 2020 with Teva UK supporting the charity’s inaugural ACTNow wellbeing campaign and has continued to grow since then.

Teva UK, a leader in generics and biopharmaceutical medicines, assists Pharmacist Support in raising awareness about their free and confidential support services, developing mental health and wellbeing resources, and delivering keynote sessions at major pharmacy events.

Additionally, Teva UK will remain a headline sponsor of Pharmacist Support’s annual Pharmacist ACTNow campaign, which supports pharmacists, pharmacy managers and pharmacy teams with mental health and wellbeing in their professionnal and personal lives.

Danielle Hunt, Chief Executive of Pharmacist Support, said: “Our vision is for no one in our pharmacy family to face challenging times without us by their side and, as an independent charity, collaboration is crucial to the success of our charitable work.

“We’re delighted to renew our partnership with Teva UK so that we can raise vital funds and be there for people across our profession who are facing difficulty.”

Kim Innes, General Manager UK at Teva UK, added: “Teva UK is proud to continue our partnership with Pharmacist Support and the important work they do in championing wellbeing within the pharmacy profession.

“As a front-line health service, pharmacy serves as a linchpin in healthcare, providing a valuable service in often challenging and pressurised circumstances.”

Pharmacist Support is an independent charity dedicated to assisting pharmacists, their families, former pharmacists, trainees, and pharmacy students. The charity is funded by donations from pharmacists and pharmacy organisations.

The charity provides a wide variety of free and confidential support services, including information and enquiries, specialist advice, financial assistance, addiction support, counselling and peer support, and the Wardley wellbeing service. Some of these services are delivered directly by trained volunteer pharmacists

Teva UK, a prominent figure in UK healthcare, supplies a diverse range of medicines to the National Health Service (NHS) and collaborates with NHS organisations to enhance the management of long-term health conditions.

Pharmacist Support noted that working with partners such as Teva UK provides them with stability, securing much needed funds to develop and run their vital support services.
