The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has announced an agreement with Tesco to hold continuing professional development (CPD) workshops for pharmacists working in retailer's pharmacies.
As many as 600 Tesco pharmacists will be eligible for the programme from January 2021, which is part of the Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (CPCS).
“We are delighted to be working in collaboration with Tesco, ensuring that their pharmacists can access CPCS continuing professional development at times that suit them best," Gail Fleming, Director of Education and Professional Development at the RPS, said.
“The feedback we’ve had back from pharmacists who’ve attended the sessions to date has been extremely positive, particularly in relation to building confidence in clinical observations and identifying red flags.”
The RPS launched the CPD in October for all community pharmacists across England. The programme has the support of Health Education England and the Royal College of General Practitioners.
