Independent charity Pharmacist Support has initiated a major volunteer recruitment campaign to coincide with Volunteers’ Week (1-7 June).

They are looking for people from both within the pharmacy sector and the wider community to champion workforce wellbeing.

The charity is also recruiting both pharmacists and lay trustees to join its Board of Trustees, alongside ambassadors to expand its Charity Ambassador volunteer network.

Pharmacists as well as individuals from outside the profession can apply for trustee positions.

Esther Sadler-Williams, chair of Pharmacist Support, said: “Being a trustee is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to help make a meaningful difference to the wellbeing of our pharmacy family and shape the future direction of the charity.

We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive board and would warmly encourage applications from people with a broad range of backgrounds, skills and experiences, whether or not they have previous trustee experience.”

Applications open on Friday (5). The deadline for trustee applications is 12 noon on 3 August 2026 with interviews taking place on the 10, 11 and 14 September 2026.

Alongside trustee recruitment, Pharmacist Support is also recruiting new Charity Ambassadors to help raise awareness of the charity and strengthen engagement across the profession.
