Community pharmacy contractors will receive resources for the Better Health quit smoking campaign between February 24 and February 28 2022, the Pharmaceutical Services Negotiating Committee (PSNC) said in an update.

The negotiator has urged all contractors to participate in the last mandated campaign agreed for 2021/2022 by NHS England and NHS Improvement and PSNC.

The resource packs will include a briefing sheet to support community pharmacy teams’ conversations with patients along with materials to be displayed in the pharmacy premises.

The PSNC has also encouraged contractors to use the social media and digital resources to popularise the campaign. The additional resources will be available on the campaign resource centre website.

Moreover, contractors are not required to record the number of people to whom information is provided or any additional information for the quit smoking campaign.

The campaign would commence from February 28, 2022 and run until March 31, 2022.
