Continuing with its work for community pharmacy, the pharmacy Review Steering Group (RSG) will hold a series of events till the end of this month.

Focussing on ‘Independent Review of Community Pharmacy Contractor Representation and Support: Providing best value for contractors’ there will be LPC engagement event along with contractor engagement event.

The LPC engagement event will take place on Monday, May 24, from 7.30 to 8.45pm. The LPCs can send two attendees each and should email [email protected] to register. Registration closes 5 pm on Thursday May 20, informed the group.

Another event, Contractor engagement event will happen on Tuesday May 25, between 7.30pm and 8.45pm. Contractors attending will already be members of the contractor forum, or they will be invited to join the forum.

At the events next week, LPCs and contractors are set to learn more about the important work that the RSG is doing, that is to improve contractor support and representation. Through these events there will be a chance to talk to RSG members about the programme and proposed next steps.

The event will likely see discussions on topics like proposed high-level plan and timeline of activities through to 2022, key principles for how the programme will be run and how decisions will be governed, the approach to engaging with key stakeholder groups.

Following feedback gathered from these two events, the final principles and timeline will be presented to the sector at an event on Monday, June 14, the RSG said in a press release today (May 19).
