Leading online pharmacy Pharmacy2U has announced that Josh Bottomley, a Google and HSBC veteran, has joined as Chief Executive Officer.
He will succeed Kevin Heath, who steps down after three and a half years in the role.
Bottomley joins from dunnhumby, the global Tesco-owned Customer Data Science business, where he was CEO.
He previously held roles as Operating Partner at CVC Capital Partners, Global Head of Digital and Data at HSBC, and led Google's global display advertising business, with earlier career experience at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey.
He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
Pharmacy2U Executive Chair Deirdre Burns said: "I would like to warmly thank Kevin for his leadership over the past three and a half years. He led Pharmacy2U into a new phase of scale and profitability, and leaves the business in a strong position.
"As we look ahead, I’m delighted to welcome Josh Bottomley as our new CEO. Josh is a proven global operator with a track record of driving high growth in digitally-led businesses, and he joins us at a pivotal moment as we continue with our ambitious plans to build Pharmacy2U into the number one digital health platform in the UK.
"His experience across data, technology and customer-led growth makes him the ideal leader to take us into the next chapter. I know Pharmacy2U will continue to thrive under Josh’s leadership, as we accelerate towards our mission to enable accessible, exceptional healthcare whenever and wherever people need it"
Meanwhile, in a LinkedIn post, Heath thanked his team members for their support during his tenure, and G Square Healthcare Private Equity LLP for investing in the company.
Founded in 1999, the Leeds based digital healthcare platform serves over 2 million patients, and has over one million Trustpilot reviews.
