Superintendent pharmacist at Kinights Pharmacy, Pete Horrocks, was amongst those invited to attend a special reception held at Number 10 Downing Street on Monday (May 24).
According to a spokesperson, prime minister Boris Johnson has been hosting a series of receptions at Downing Street for NHS staff to thank them for their efforts in the Covid-19 pandemic response.
The spokesperson added: “We have worked with the NHS who have nominated the guests, which includes pharmacists among other NHS workers from across England for this event.
When asked for a breakdown or list of guests, however, Downing Street said it “wouldn’t normally disclose a breakdown of the guests to an event such as this.”
Before leaving for London on Monday, Horrocks announced: “Big day today, popping down to London. Truly humbled to receive this invitation as I know so many friends and colleagues have made huge sacrifices and achieved so much through this pandemic.”
Knights Pharmacy also put a Tweet out congratulating Horrocks.
