Community pharmacy contractors have only one week left to complete the required activities and claim the £300 engagement fee for the GP Community Pharmacist Consultation Service (GP CPCS).

Contractors must complete the activities listed under the CPCS service specifications by June 30 to be able to claim this payment.

Besides, contractors are advised to keep documented evidence of the completed activities for post payment verification purposes.

They can claim the payment until 11.59pm on July 5, using the NHS Business Services Authority’s Manage Your Service platform.

The NHS CPCS is a national advanced service to refer patients requiring low acuity advice, treatment and urgent repeat prescriptions to community pharmacies.

This service aims to reduce pressure on the primary and urgent care system, particularly in case of accident and emergency.
