Voltarol expands into warming products with Voltaheat

Non-medicated VoltaHeat Warming Gel 50g providing soothing, moisturising comfort with a gentle warming action and VoltaHeat Pain Relief Warming Patch x2 providing deep penetrating heat to relieve pain.

Voltarol

Voltarol is entering the warming product category for the first time with the launch of VoltaHeat Warming Gel and VoltaHeat Pain Relief Warming Patch, designed to meet rising consumer demand1 for convenient, non-medicated topical products for everyday use.

The launch marks a significant expansion for the trusted Voltarol Family as consumers increasingly seek warming products that fit into active lifestyles and self-care routines. The move also comes as the non-medicated topical pain relief category continues to grow ahead of the wider pain relief market, with the segment now worth more than £70m and growing at +6 percent, making it the fastest-growing category within pain relief.

Designed to support consumers with active and busy lifestyles, the new VoltaHeat range has been developed to meet growing demand for convenient topical warming products amongst shoppers looking for non-medicated options.

The VoltaHeat Warming Gel provides moisturising comfort with a gentle warming action. The gel warms in just two minutes. It is suitable for use on areas such as the back, neck, legs, arms, and shoulders. The formula is fast-absorbing, non-greasy, and non-sticky, while featuring a pleasant, mild aroma with no strong smell.

The VoltaHeat Warming Patch delivers deep, penetrating heat to help relieve pain and soothe stiff or tense muscle areas. Designed to provide up to 16 hours of warming relief*, the Warming patch helps relax muscle tensions and accelerates recovery. The targeted warming action relieves stiffness, aches and pains, supporting natural movement.

Commenting on the launch, Haleon marketing director Monica Michalopoulou said: “We are seeing growing demand for topical warming products that fit seamlessly into active lifestyles, as consumers are increasingly looking for convenient, non-medicated warming options.

"The launch of the VoltaHeat range expands the trusted Voltarol family into non-medicated warming products, helping tap into this consumer demand."

The launch will be supported by an awareness-driving campaign later in the year, including social, online video, influencer and PR activity, alongside digital commerce activity launching in May 2026.

VoltaHeat Warming Gel and VoltaHeat Warming Patch are available at RRP £4.99 and are currently available at Boots. The range will be widely rolled out from August.
